Abstract Sambalpuri Ikat Saree (Blue-Mgenta)
The Sambalpuri Ikat saree in Patta (Mulberry Silk) has an 'Abstract' visual representation with no particular or regular motifs rather a dizzy stripes created naturally with yarn tie-dyed (Ikat or Bandha) process. The entire body of the saree has a contrast colour palette of shades of Blue while the aanchal has a plain solid dark Magenta colour perfectly complimenting to body.
The attention to detail in the borders with traditional panch dhadi rudraksh work in dull silver and the transition of colours in the body of the saree justify the name 'Abstract'.The blouse piece in the photo is uncut and an extension of the aanchal in plain solid dark Magenta.
